Seven Peaks middle School students experienced and engaged in a wealth of learning opportunities: investigating and exploring; critical thinking; problem solving; collaborating, communicating, debating, and compromising; and celebrating innovation!
Due to the generosity of our families during our recent Turkey Trot, we not only provided Thanksgiving meals to 200 local families, we were able to present The Giving Plate Food Pantry a check for $500.
Our holiday spirit doesn’t stop with Thanksgiving though. We are committed to continue supporting local food pantries throughout the school year. Therefore, we will partner with The Bend Food Project — “the power of one green bag” as we did so successfully last year. Our first, of three, non-perishable food collection drive begins tomorrow, Monday, 11/28 and ends Wednesday, 12/14. We encourage students and parents to pick up as many green bags as they wish from the lobby, fill them and return them to the lobby by the deadline date…12/14! The Bend Food Project will pick up the filled bags and then disperse food to several food pantries in the Bend area that will serve local people in need.
