Students with exceptional (gifted or remedial) learning needs may qualify for a CARE plan. The teachers, assistant principal, and the school psychologist/CARE coordinator partner to determine if a CARE plan should be established. The child’s parents are invited to meet with the CARE team where specific goals are established as part of a CARE plan for the student.
A CARE plan consists of:
- Data from classroom interventions
- Main concerns to address
- Action plan (teacher and school/parents/consultants)
