At SPS, we believe in nurturing the wellbeing of the whole child, which means we provide opportunities for students to exercise more than just their minds! Elementary Running Club is open to all elementary students who want to burn off some extra energy and go for a run during their lunch break on Wednesdays. The club is led by Peaks’ Parents volunteers.
In our Garden Club students learn how to plant seeds and nurture them to fully mature and food-bearing plants. We grow a range of plants in our outdoor garden, and students find great satisfaction in taking part in a project where they see the physical result of their labor. The club is led by Peaks’ Parents volunteers.
Building with Legos encourages students to use critical thinking skills as they design and create their own Lego structures. These skills will serve students well in many aspects of life, and in addition, building with Legos is just plain fun! Lego Club is open to Prekindergarten through 4th grade students. The club is led by Peaks’ Parents volunteers.
Elementary students enjoy taking advantage of the local ice skating rink. Twice a month students and families meet for an afternoon of skating and connection! We love our Peaks’ Parents who coordinate this fun chance to exercise and connect! The club is led by Peaks’ Parents volunteers.
